The Paul R. williams LEGACY Scholarship
Eligibility
Applications are now closed for 2024-25 school year.
Architecture students enrolled at one of the seven Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) offering an NAAB-accredited architecture program (see list below) or the University of Southern California, who will begin their 4th or 5th year in the Fall of 2024.

Architecture students enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Architecture who will begin their 4th or 5th year in the Fall of 2024.

AWARD
Up to a total of five $5,000 Scholarships will be awarded. Funds are unrestricted.
TO APPLY
Completed applications for the Paul R. Williams Legacy Scholarship must be submitted no later than Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm PT.
INDIVIDUAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1)Resume (submit below)
2)Letter of Recommendation from a member of your architecture school faculty. The letter must confirm that you are eligible and in good academic standing (submit by email).
3)A proposed project with a sketch and written description (300-500 words) addressing the following prompt (submit by email):
- Changing the Paradigm: Please submit a proposed project that will positively impact your physical community, past, present or future. A successful submission will explain your vision and its impact on the community, potential challenges, and how this project aligns with your career aspirations in architecture.
For USC Students Only:
- Changing the Paradigm: Please submit a proposed project that will positively impact the city of Los Angeles. A successful submission will explain your vision and its impact on the community, potential challenges, and how this project aligns with your career aspirations in architecture.
4) Finalists will be notified by May 29 and will be asked to submit a 2-3 minute video introducing themselves and their community.
Scholarship recipients will be announced in July 2024.
